Since 1997 Martechnic® works in the field of oil quality management and develops and designs effective technical solutions for direct on-board condition monitoring of fuel, lube and hydraulic oil. Portable Test Device and Test Kits for On-Board Oil Trend Analysis Following internationally agreed environmental protection objectives to reduce environmental impact, Martechnic® offers engineers, ship operators and users a wide variety of products for regular monitoring of crucial oil parameters such as water-in-oil content, alkalinity reserve, viscosity, density etc. Important advantages of on-site analysis equipment including portable test devices and test kits are easy, quick and precise measurement, instant availability and direct assessment of test results and trending of oil analysis data. Thereby, regular verification helps to ensure smooth and efficient operation of engines, as well as to detect any occurring uncharacteristic changes in the oil condition and to take necessary corrective actions right at the time when they are required. Sensor Technology for Continuous Oil Condition Monitoring Advanced sensor technology of Martechnic® provides continuous 24/7 monitoring of oil condition of generators, main engines and hydraulic systems and real-time information on the measured parameters. Modular design of the sensor monitoring system with optional application of “Viscosity & Density Sensor”, “Humidity Sensor”, “Particle Sensor”, “FE Sensor” and “Water-in-Oil sensor” is intended for flexibility, customized solutions and optimization of investment cost. A sensor connection mechanism to the data processing unit and all-purpose display “Datalogger” as well as the corresponding software allow easy readout and evaluation of data. Owing to the automatic early warning system of sensors, for example pre-alert and alarm setting for the infrared method of water-in-oil determination, not only immediate detection of any irregularities in the oil condition is possible, but also accurate assessment of the actual source of the problem can be conducted (based on trending of the obtained data). Collection of Representative Oil Samples A full range of Martechnic®’s sampling equipment, sampling bottles and sampling kits is designed in line with international standards and MARPOL requirements in order to provide appropriate collection, handling, storage and transport of fuel, lube and hydraulic oil samples and thereby to ensure their representativeness. Due to proper sealing technique elaborated by the company, oil samples can be reliably protected from any external contamination and tampering. Efficient Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems For safe, gentle and efficient cleaning, Martechnic® offers ultrasonic cleaning tanks as well as ultrasonic generators with transducers and ultrasonic cleaning liquid “Envirosonic”. By means of high-frequency ultrasound waves and cavitation effect produced in the cleaning liquid, dirt and deposit can be thoroughly removed from various engine components, including complexly shaped items and hard-to-reach areas, without prior dismantling of parts. For instance, the following items can be cleaned: fuel and lube oil filters, cylinder cover, cooler, valves, turbocharger impeller, air cooler etc. Moreover, customized ultrasonic devices can be designed for individual application purposes.
