Simplex Americas LLC started in 2003 as the Exclusive sales and service organization offering Simplex Compact Stern tube seals, Simplan shaft seals, and Turbo Oily Water Separators, all of which are manufactured by SKF Marine in Hamburg, Germany. We have grown to 35 people, including 29 full-time service engineers in the field. These service engineers come from the shipyard side and, therefore, have a great deal of marine propulsion experience, having completed various factory training courses, including those offered by Wartsila, Rolls Royce, Schottel, as well as our exclusive principals, Niigata, SKF, Kumera, Nakashima and Jastram, etc. In summary, we offer new equipment and 29 high-level, full-time service engineers who are experienced in all aspects of propulsion equipment, from the main engine to the propeller. Specialists for Diesel Engines, Gearboxes, Hydraulic Couplings, Rudders, CPPs, Thrusters, Z-Drives, Steering Gear, Fin Stabilizers, Shaft Line and Stern Tube Bearings, Submarine Propulsion Systems, Stern Tube Seals, Electronic Controls, Oily-Water Separators and Oil-Content Monitors. Skills also include In-Situ Machining and Precision Alignment.
