Mitsui E & S DU Co Ltd. (formally know as Diesel United, Ltd.) is a group company of Mitsui E & S and is established on 1st April 2023. The products are "DU-WinGD" 2 stroke low speed diesel engines (RTA/RT-flex/X) and dual fuel engines (X-DF), "DU-SEMT Pielstick" 4 stroke medium speed diesel engines (PC), special equipment and system for engine condition monitoring such as TF-Detector (magnetic particle contents sensor in oil and grease) and LC-A (total support system for main engine operation and maintenance). "DU-WinGD" engines are environment-friendly electronic-controlled engine with common-rail system, for large Container carriers, Oil tankers including VLCCs, Bulk Carriers, PCTCs etc. X-DF engine applied the pre-mixed lean burn technology with low fuel pressure supply system and can be compliance with IMO NOx Tier III regulation without an exhaust gas after-treatment device. TF-Detector is a magnetic particle contents sensor in oil and grease with very fine accuracy. Regardless engine brand, WinGD, MAN or UE, it is useful for condition monitoring of piston ring/cylinder liner during operation by measuring iron contents from piston under-side drain oil. It contributes for minimize lifecycle maintenance cost. LC-A (LifeCycle Administrator) is a total support package to support vessels operation in order to minimize fleet operation cost by a preventive maintenance approach. This system is also able to apply not only WinGD engine but MAN and UE brand engines. The system users are able to select onboard visit service by our field engineers if required.
