KIMI is an independent service organisation that offers premium repair solutions for marine and power equipment. Established in 1984, has since evolved into a one-stop shop with a wide service portfolio. Our services are developed by our in-house Research and Development team in association with research Institutions and universities in Greece and other European countries. Our R&D team consists of personnel with diverse engineering backgrounds. Mechanical, marine, quality and design engineers share their expertise, experience, perspectives and ideas and help us continuously shape new innovative services. In direct response to last year’s global shipping industry slowdown, KIMI has launched several cost-efficient refurbishing services. One of the recent and most disruptive ones is our class-approved crankshaft repair with laser cladding. A service particularly targeted at salvaging crankshafts that would otherwise be replaced, and by repairing them, we enable our customers to benefit in terms of both time and cost.
