Company History and Growth Founded in Singapore in 2002, Cables International was established with a vision to become a leading provider of specialised electrical solutions for the energy industry. Recognising a growing demand for high-performance cable systems and electrical materials that met stringent international standards, the company focused on developing a comprehensive portfolio of products tailored specifically to the marine, offshore, oil and gas, and industrial sectors. From its inception, the company prioritised technical expertise, strong supplier partnerships, inventory availability, and responsive customer service. These principles enabled the business to rapidly gain recognition among EPC contractors, shipyards, offshore operators, and industrial customers throughout the region. In 2005, Cables International expanded into Australia, strengthening its presence within the mining sector. Australia represents one of the world's most significant mining markets, and the expansion enabled the company to provide specialised mining cables and electrical solutions suited for the demanding environmental and operational conditions faced by mining operations. Through this expansion, the company further enhanced its technical capabilities and broadened its product offering to support both surface and underground mining applications. A significant milestone in the company's development occurred in June 2012 when Cables International became part of the Offshore Business Unit of Jebsen & Jessen (SEA). This strategic integration provided access to a larger regional platform, broader resources, enhanced logistics capabilities, and stronger market reach throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.
