Hampidjan was founded in 1934 during the Great Depression and has grown into a large international company with operations in 72 locations across 21 countries and about 2,000 employees. The headquarters are located at Skarfabakki in Sundahöfn, where the main offices, net workshop, and the company’s main warehouse in Iceland are situated. The heart of the company’s production is Hampidjan Baltic in Lithuania, where threads, knotted nets, braided super ropes, and fully assembled fishing gear are produced. In 2023, Hampidjan acquired the Norwegian company Mørenot and Hampidjan Advant was created when merging Hampidjan Offshore and Mørenot Offshore into one company. Hampidjan Advant focusses on Offshore, Seismic, Lifting, Mooring and Tug segments with a broad range of high performance ropes and accessories. Hampidjan Advant is ISO 9001 | ISO 14001 | ISO 45001 certified. A wide variety of HMPE and Aramid ropes are manufactured at our Hampidjan Baltic factory in Lithuania. We stock PP/PES mixed mooring ropes and mooring tails at various strategic locations to be able to support our worldwide customer base. Also all types of PP, PP/PES, Polyester and Nylon ropes are manufactured within the Hampidjan Group allowing for a complete portfolio of rope solutions. Its remarkably low coefficient of friction enables the rope to adapt seamlessly to varying loads, optimizing performance with each use.
