Extreme East Rigging Services Ltd. is a 100% Newfoundland owned & operated company specializing in the manufacture of lifting and rigging equipment. Our 12000 sq. ft. facility is located on 11 Pepperrell Rd. (off Logy Bay Rd.) in the city of St. John’s. We are a member of the DFB Group of companies and we have access to all the equipment and expertise within the group of companies. We have a large warehouse and yard facility that can handle any rigging related job that may arise. We have a 100 ton in house test bed, 5 ton overhead crane, 500 ton hydraulic press, coiling equipment, forklifts & 4 heavy duty industrial sewing machines. We have an experienced staff of 8 people presently and a large group of over 150 people who work within the group of companies if additional help is needed on any job that we take on. We have a 20 ton boom truck & zoom boom within the group that can be used whenever necessary. Extreme East was incorporated in 2003 but before that we operated under the name CFM Rigging Services which was opened in 1998 on 50 Water Street where we operated up until moving to our new location on 11 Pepperrell Rd. Before CFM Rigging the company was called Newfoundland Sling Ltd. which we operated in Arnold’s Cove, Newfoundland during the construction phase of the Hibernia Project. Although the company ownership changed over the past 16 years the experience of the management and staff remained in tact. We have completed numerous projects over the years for the oil and gas industry in Newfoundland and have shipped our products all over North America. Some of the companies we have done work for include Petro Canada, Husky Energy, North Atlantic Refining, Irving Refining, Atlantic Towing, Kiewit Offshore, HMDC, Kellogg Brown & Root, Canadian Coast Guard, Northern Transportation Ltd.,Oceanex, Canship Ltd., the list can go on and on. Our reputation as a quality supplier has remained solid over the years. We are known to “get the job done” on time and within budget. Many of our projects are custom made items not just off the shelf items that can be made by anyone. We take pride in our work especially in the fact that we have been the only company in the world who has successfully manufactured Iceberg Towing Nets for the offshore industry in Newfoundland.
