The results are out and measurement becomes big issue

We have recently published the results of our 3rd Internet and Social Media Use survey and one key stat that has come from our annual poll of purchasing managers from the world’s leading shipping companies/managers and executives from some of the world’s biggest maritime suppliers is that measurement – or the lack of it – is a real issue.

A whopping 40% of respondents said that their company currently did not measure their e-commerce or social media activity. WOW.

As one of the main facets of any digital campaign is measurement this seems pretty astounding particularly when simple analytics is pretty easy to implement.

Of course, we hope that all our ShipServ users were not part of this percentage as we have worked very hard on ensuring that all suppliers can now measure their activity with us through the Supplier Insight Report that we launched at the beginning of this year.
