New Global Service Delivery division launched

SHIPSERV is pleased to announce that it has launched a new Global Service Delivery division to provide all clients – both maritime buyers and suppliers –  with pre-sale, implementation and post-sale support throughout the entire lifecycle of their relationship with ShipServ.

The new division will be headed by Dorthe Nielsen and will combine the previous Client Relations team and Manila Customer Service Center, which will be renamed the Service Delivery Center. With the launch of the new division, Senior VP of Client Relations, Mikael Weis moves over to manage the integration of Charles Kerr Enterprises into ShipServ and also take on the role of Head of Legal and Key Accounts.

Norwegian owners sign up to e-invoicing

FIVE major Norwegian shipowners have signed up for  e-invoicing services through the ShipServ TradeNet platform in the last month.

In addition to the Norwegian owners,  a further five major ship suppliers including leading ship chandlers EMS, Seawave and HMS have recently also signed up to use the e-invoicing service.

IMPA code usage grows on ShipServ Pages

OVER the last year 1.6 million line items containing IMPA code references were sent through ShipServ’s two trading solutions, TradeNet and Pages, proving that purchasing managers are continuing to use the industry’s leading standard to source products.

ShipServ and IMPA have been collaborating since 2001, when the e-commerce provider started offering the IMPA Marine Stores Guide to use in its onboard electronic Catalogue tool and this relationship was strengthened last year, when the use of the IMPA Code was extended to online supplier directory ShipServ Pages to simplify and speed up product sourcing even further.

The city at the heart of maritime e-commerce

BERGEN is commonly referred to as the City among seven Mountains, but for ShipServ it could easily be known as the City of e-commerce as its shipowning fraternity has embraced the technology more than anywhere else in the world.

Owners from the city were among the first to use the TradeNet platform over a decade ago and ShipServ now has nine clients from the shipping capital of Norway including such illustrious names such as Utkilen, Grieg, Seatrans, Wilson, Westfal Larsen, DOF and Mowinckel.

Software provider goes global

 

WITH a host of shipping companies on its doorstep Tero Marine has become a trusted software partner over the last twenty five years in Norway, but is now rapidly expanding its services globally.

ShipServ and Tero Marine have been working together since 2009, when they signed a cooperation between the two companies in bringing their joint solutions to market and have worked together on solutions for companies such as REM Offshore and DOF Management.

TRADERANK was purposefully devised  to indicate a supplier’s popularity in the market.

It is based upon their activity on ShipServ TradeNet, online customer reviews & ratings and agent authorizations verified by the brand owner. A high TradeRank indicates that the supplier is known and trusted by the ShipServ TradeNet buyer community.

Under the Spotlight: Dorthe Nielsen, VP Global Service Delivery

 

 

AS highlighted in the lead article, Dorthe has now taken charge of the new Service Delivery and the Manila Customer service centre and is looking forward to the challenge of working even closer with ShipServ’s buyer and supplier community.

“We are continuously looking to take our service delivery to next level with new initiatives such as e-invoicing and developing our existing tools such as our KPI benchmark reporting so that it is even more user-friendly.”

Since Dorthe joined ShipServ in 2000, she has seen a huge change in the Client Relations service stemming from a small team of a couple people based in Copenhagen to a team of more than 20 people across the world.

Coming Soon: Single User Login

What does this mean?

Currently ShipServ buyers have three separate logins for their key services: WebReporter, Transaction Monitor and ShipServ Pages. You will now be able to access all three with just one login.

What is the benefit?

Along with saving time to access to all three services, single user login will also allow more of your designated TradeNet users to be able to login and access their most relevant reports.
