ShipServ Focus: The only way is up!

We are always looking at high-growth sectors in terms of volumes of searches coming from search engines to ShipServ pages and this month we have seen very noticeable growth spikes in our Marine Valve search volumes and also for the Marine embryonic Bridge Navigation and Watch Alarm System.

As suggested last month we have been working hard on increasing Valve related traffic to the site via a variety of means and this has paid handsome dividends with over 200% growth in searches in January and February from just September last year.

Great news for all our Valves suppliers as interest in their product rockets to new highs.

For those that don’t know, the Bridge Navigation and Watch Alarm System becomes mandatory to all new buildings from July with existing vessels required to retrofit the system at the first survey after the dates outlined in the new SOLAS regulations depending on the vessel type and size.

Our massive search volume growth suggests this is a really hot topic and to cater for this interest ShipServ has developed a BNWAS zone on ShipServ Pages, which we will populate with content and information as well as showcasing the leading suppliers according to ShipServ Trade Rank. Be sure to watch this space.

Next month we look at trends in the Pump market.
