ShipServ and R+M co-operation brings TradeNet onboard

Agreement with software house R+M will make it easier for R+M clients to connect to their suppliers through ShipServ TradeNet

London, UK, 9 September 2010ShipServ, the leading marine and offshore e-marketplace, today announced a co-operation with German IT house R+M Business Software.

The software provider has agreed to develop ‘plug-ins’ which can connect their clients’ maintenance and purchasing systems onboard ship direct to the hundreds of suppliers on ShipServ TradeNet, the e-commerce trading platform.

R+M will integrate ShipServ TradeNet into its “for.SHIP” programme, an industry specific solution, based on the ERP-System Microsoft Dynamics NAV, connecting purchasing managers to their suppliers and trading partners on TradeNet.

Our co-operation with ShipServ enables the customer to exchange data with TradeNet directly from their system. This way integrated communication between ship and shore is being extended to the supplier. The whole purchase can be being completed without media conversion and in structured data. This guarantees an efficient way to communicate with suppliers and handle requisitions.”
