OSM Ship Management signs with ShipServ

Major Norwegian firm becomes the latest ship manager to see benefits of joining maritime e-marketplace.

LONDON, UK, 16 June, 2010ShipServ, the leading maritime e-marketplace, today announced that OSM Ship Management AS, one of the world’s largest commercial fleet managers, has signed up to ShipServ TradeNet.

OSM Ship Management is part of OSM Group. Founded in 1989, today the OSM Group has a fleet of about 430 vessels under its management, and operates from 21 offices around the world. The company employs more than 7,000 skilled and motivated employees from around 30 nations who are dedicated to serving a significant number of customers worldwide.

TradeNet is the world’s leading maritime trading platform, helping the buyers and sellers of ship supplies to reduce the costs associated with doing business together. Over 150 ship owners, managers, offshore operators and yards use TradeNet to manage the purchasing for close to 5,000 vessels & rigs. In 2010 ShipServ expects to handle more than 5,000,000 transactions.
