This month it’s DAN Swift, owned by J. Lauritzen and a Dynamically Positioned (DP) Accommodation & Support Vessel (ASV).
DAN Swift is designed to work adjacent to both fixed structures, platforms and floating units such as FPSOs and semi-submersibles. It is able to maintain position and is suitable for personnel transfer in a variety of environments as it’s equipped with telescopic gangways on both port and starboard sides. The vessel is outfitted to a high standard of accommodation with a total of 291 berths including accommodation for crew & catering personnel.
It also houses, amongst other things, a hospital, cinema, gym and swimming pool. However we would like to stamp out any rumours that Kim plans to vacation there this Summer
