Floating unit seeks dynamic accommodation

Don’t worry, its not a cry for companionship from the small ads but the latest “vessel of the quarter” from our TradeNet community as selected by our COO, Kim Skaarup.

This month it’s DAN Swift, owned by J. Lauritzen and a Dynamically Positioned (DP) Accommodation & Support Vessel (ASV).

DAN Swift is designed to work adjacent to both fixed structures, platforms and floating units such as FPSOs and semi-submersibles. It is able to maintain position and is suitable for personnel transfer in a variety of environments as it’s equipped with telescopic gangways on both port and starboard sides. The vessel is outfitted to a high standard of accommodation with a total of 291 berths including accommodation for crew & catering personnel.

It also houses, amongst other things, a hospital, cinema, gym and swimming pool. However we would like to stamp out any rumours that Kim plans to vacation there this Summer :-)
