Vroon: Vroom Vroom!
Every quarter here at ShipServ we have a company update where we take stock of our progress (its good by the way!) and review our business.
A regular feature of these meetings is an update by our Chief Operating Officer, Kim Skaarup, who always takes the opportunity to share an interesting vessel from our trading community.
This month it was the turn of the Asian Dynasty, a car carrier managed by Vroon B.V.
Pictured here, it was built in 1999 and can carry an amazing 6,500 cars! Which if lined up end-to-end would cover 32 kms! Pretty impressive stuff. Vroon have been a great ShipServ customer over the years, and we’re pleased to help in a small way with the operation of such an incredible ship.
However the largest car carrier in the world is the Fedora, carrying nearly 8,000 cars, operated by Wilhelmsen. Another ShipServ customer.
And finally, on the topic of car carriers, the largest car carrier fleet in the world is operated by NYK, consisting of 113 vessels with another 39 in the pipeline. And yes, you’ve guessed it, another ShipServ customer.
All of which continues to show the variety of the 5,000 vessels under management in the ShipServ buyer community.
