What’s New in Pages? Improved search capabilities
The ALL NEW ShipServ Pages is the result of years of experience in understanding how maritime buyers search for supplies, coupled with extensive feedback from the maritime community. This has led to a number of innovations in the latest release to make it easier to locate the exact supplier you need:
Refine search
Having carried out a search you’ll notice that Pages now allows you to refine the results by category and membership/certification. This lets you further refine your search and is useful, say, in the situation where you’re looking for a specialist supplier. Or perhaps you’re looking for a supplier who’s an ISSA member, as this is a accreditation you trust. Just select the options you want to refine by and press the ‘Apply’ button.
Related searches
The system now recommends related searches on search result pages and on supplier profile pages. This lets you see alternative ways you could search Pages, and is useful when you haven’t quite found what you want. In the example below we’ve searched for “Paint in Hong Kong“. Pages shows us that we could also search for “Chandlery in Hong Kong“, visit the “Chandlery Zone” or indeed look for “Suppliers called Paint“. Just clicking on any of these phrases takes you to a pre-defined search results page.

Improved catalog searching and browsing
In many product-related searches, search results pick up information held in supplier Catalogs. Catalogs let suppliers advertise their stocked goods in their Pages listing. And in the ALL NEW Pages, the way you search catalogs has been completely re-designed.
Try looking at the catalogs of suppliers “Hydraulic & Offshore Supplies Limited” or “Kirkpatrick Group, Inc.” to see the new look.
The catalog operates in two modes: browse and search. In browse, the folders list lets you navigate around the catalog. In search, it switches to help you navigate through search results.
