And the winner is….you!

We’ve recently been the recipient of several awards that to-date we’ve not really publicized that much. Mainly as these awards have been for the work we’ve been doing in our sales & marketing systems. But we thought it was time we shared these successes.

So not only did we win the CRM Magazine 2009 CRM Market Award, “CRM Elite Award” we also we’re a winner in the Gartner & 1to1 Awards 2009, “Marketing Optimization”.

Both awards were in recognition of the work we’ve done in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (salesforce.com) and our marketing automation system (marketo). Together they’re the engine room that powers our sales and marketing operations.

OK, so right now the maritime industry is asking “So What?”

Well, think about it. We’re at the middle (some may say “nexus”) of the online ship supplies trading market. Whilst we’re not a middleman per se nor do we get involved in the actual transactions, we do provide a platform that matches demand and supply. So if you’re a Danish ship manager looking for liferafts in Brazil, our job is to provide you with the perfect result. You’re not going to thank us for providing random results that you have to spend hours painfully searching through.

So how do we do that?  Well, we invest a lot of time, energy and technology into an infrastructure that facilities excellent maritime sourcing and ordering.  With the right blend we can assist the process by better interpreting a buyer’s need, the supplier’s capability and ultimately making everyone happy with the whole experience.

With a great technology platform we can inform purchasers about exactly which suppliers they should be interested in, and not wasting any time with irrelevant information. And for suppliers we can help promote them to only those companies who have a real interest. In all but name, we’re everyone’s most trusted sales and marketing partner.
