Alfa Laval powers its sales with ShipServ

Leading engineering solutions provider signs agreement to enable the receiving of orders via the ShipServ e-marketplace.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, 30 June, 2009ShipServ, the leading maritime e-marketplace, today announced that it signed an agreement with Alfa Laval, a leading global provider of specialized products and engineering solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement Alfa Laval will integrate the sales operations of ten of its sales companies with ShipServ TradeNet, the e-commerce trading platform for operational supplies.

With TradeNet integration in place, Alfa Laval expects to reduce the total order cycle times jointly with their customers and support them in optimizing their procurement processes.

“Alfa Laval is a major supplier to the maritime industry, so we’re delighted to welcome them into the ShipServ family,” commented Paul Ostergaard, Founder and CEO, ShipServ. “I look forward to helping them provide unparalled customer service to the global market.”

The agreement was signed at the Alfa Laval offices in Stockholm by Magnus Nordin, General Manager and Mats Ottosson, Strategic Project Manager, Parts & Service Equipment of Alfa Laval and Lars Bratshaug, EMEA Sales Director, ShipServ.
