Nor-Shipping Day 4

Well, the final day’s arrived and we’re winding down to the end of a great week.

Heard a great anecdote today from one of our ShipServ Pages advertisers. They use Google Analytics to track visitors to their website and they can see that Pages is the 4th largest source of referred visitors!  (Which just goes to show the increasing power of Pages to attract audiences for our customers.) And as a result they are more than happy to renew their advert….

In another anecdote, a less then happy executive came on to our stand, complaining that someone he knew had a company listing on Pages, but it was impossible to find their entry and that it was all a big waste of money. Our SVP Sales, Freddy Ingemann handled the conversation and it soon became clear that the company listing referred to had very little information in it, and in fact didn’t even list the products we were trying to search on!

After realizing the issue was nothing to do with Pages, and then seeing a full demo of the product, that very executive went on to buy a listing for his own company!!

This story does raise a very important issue – that suppliers need to make sure the right, up-to-date information is in their listing. Unless you tell the world about what you do, how do you expect to be found?!!! Read our previous blog on the subject.

And finally,….you can see all the photos from Nor-Shipping here.
