Newsletter February 2009 – Supplier Edition

Welcome to this first edition of the new and improved ShipServ newsletter. We haven’t thought of a good name for it yet and we’d like to enlist your help – see below!

TradeNet Growth
Over $1 billion-worth of maritime supplies trading took place on TradeNet last year, our most active year ever. Transactions increased by an amazing 69% over 2007 and the total value of orders grew by an impressive 66%. The number of maritime suppliers and ships chandlers increased by 50% as did the number of ships signed up to the network. So thank you to all our customers who made this possible. Read more here.

Stronger SpecTec / ShipServ Alliance
ShipServ and SpecTec recently announced a strengthening of our partnership, with the launch of a number of new initiatives including working to provide integration between SpecTec’s AMOS Spare Parts and ShipServ online catalogues. Read more here.
