Bibby Ship Management turns to Senda with Pages

We’re always interested in hearing examples about how companies have used our products to do things differently. One small, but interesting, example we heard this month came from Liam Herbert, Purchasing Manager, Bibby Ship Management Ltd who used ShipServ Pages to great effect.

He had a requirement for a 501.001 Admission Gas Casing for a Napier NR15 Turbocharger. At first he searched on the model number (NR15) but didn’t get the results he wanted. So he then instead searched using the part number (501.001). As a result he located a supplier called Senda Shipping based in Pudong New District, Shanghai.  You can see their Pages listing here. Liam contacted them alongside two already known suppliers. Fortunately for Senda they responded with the best quote and Liam eventually placed an order with them.

This represented a completely new customer for Senda, who without Pages may never have come to the attention of Bibby. In addition Senda’s high TradeRank played a role in Liam’s decision, as it reassured him that Senda had a track record of fulfilling orders from the TradeNet Buying community.

So the message here is clear – the more information there is about you, the more chance you will get found. To read more about how you can increase your visibility with ShipServ visit here.
