Bibby Ship Management turns to Pages for Savings
We’re always interested in hearing examples about how companies have used our products to do things differently. One small, but interesting, example we heard this month
came from Liam Herbert, Purchasing Manager, Bibby Ship Management Ltd who used ShipServ Pages to great effect.
He had a requirement for a 501.001 Admission Gas Casing for a Napier NR15 Turbocharger. The obvious thing to do would’ve been to search on the model number (NR15) but Liam instead searched using the part no (501.001). As a result he located a supplier called Senda Shipping based in Pudong New District, Shanghai. You can see their Pages listing here. They responded with a very good quote and Liam eventually placed an order with them. This is a completely new supplier to Bibby, and is $3,000 cheaper than the two other suppliers that quoted (and who were already known to Bibby). In addition Liam was also able check Senda’s TradeRank which reassured him that they had a track record of fulfilling orders from the TradeNet Buying community.
So not only did Pages help Liam in track down an appropriate supplier and support him in making his decision, it also let him open up a new relationship and save money at the same time! A pretty impressive result. So to see Pages for yourself visit ShipServ Pages.
