ShipServ to Present at Upcoming IMPA Exhibition & Conference

Leading maritime e-marketplace to present “Managing Profitability in Shipping: The role of the new purchasing department”

LONDON, UK, 4 September, 2008 – ShipServ (http://www.shipserv.com), the leading maritime e-marketplace, today announced its participation in the upcoming International Marine Purchasing Association (IMPA) Exhibition & Conference 2008 to be held 17-18 September 2008 at Kensington Town Hall, London.

As well as being an exhibitor in the IMPA Exhibition, ShipServ will also be hosting two presentations entitled “Managing Profitability in Shipping: The role of the new purchasing department”. Included in the presentations are the results of a recent independent survey commissioned by ShipServ which involved in-depth interviews with senior purchasing executives from the Americas, Europe and Asia. The survey highlights the goals of the purchasing department, the challenges facing buyers today and how e-commerce has helped many companies to drive significant benefits in their operations.

The presentations will be held on Wednesday 17 September at 12:00 and Thursday 18 September at 11:00.
