Maritime purchasers see e-commerce as a way out of the chaos
We’d like to share with you the results of a survey we recently conducted into purchasing best practice in the maritime industry.

The report, “Managing Profitability in Shipping: The role of the new purchasing department” was undertaken by AEBCommunications, an independent research consultancy, and involved in-depth interviews with nearly 20 senior purchasing executives from the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The 12 page report shares the challenges being faced by purchasing departments around the world, the e-commerce journey many are taking and the benefits they’ve enjoyed.
You’ll find incredibly useful information about how other shipping businesses have used e-commerce to:
- Increase purchasing efficiency & accuracy
- Improve service to ships
- Lower the risk of demurrage or off-hire days
- Gain new business insights
- Improve process control
