Customer Service Manager (Manila)

We are looking for a Customer Service Manager to manage and lead a team of Customer Service Representatives in Manila maintaining high standards of quality service to global clients.

Job overview:

  • Report to the Global Vice President for Implementation and Support
  • Work with our Implementation and Support Teams in Hong Kong, Copenhagen and New Jersey
  • Supervise a team of Customer Service Representatives

Job description / main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Responsible for all administrative and day-to-day first level support customer service functions for ShipServ’s clients who are mostly ship owners/managers, ship suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Manage and lead a team of Customer Service Representatives.
  • Ensure support levels live up to the expectations we give our global client base.
  • Help customers resolve inquiries and issues through collaborative work with other colleagues in the company.
  • Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures in coordination with other departments.
  • Assist in rolling out new products and updates to clients on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements:

  • Strong people oriented and leadership skills and a mature customer service attitude
  • High work ethics and flexibility
  • Self-motivated and open to learn, structured and organized, and a talent for identifying areas of improvement
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Professional manner and phone technique
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, web browsers)
  • Graduate of any 4-year course with at least 5 years of experience in global organizations within areas of customer service, shipping or information technology
  • Filipino citizen or hold relevant residence status

Preferred qualifications:

  • It is an advantge to have some knowledge of the maritime shipping industry and/or procurement processes.
