ShipServ Pages to see significant enhancements

ImageSince its launch in April 2006, ShipServ Pages has rapidly become the who’s who of the Supplier world. Hundreds of owners from around the world are now using the tool to search for supplies by company or brand name, category or port and country.

In fact, every 8 minutes someone is using Pages to source new Suppliers. We have learnt a lot from our customers over the last 18 months and in response to customer demand, we are releasing two exciting new areas of functionality in the next few weeks.

We cannot say much now, but if you would like to be the first to hear about these new features, please email pages@shipserv.com.

ShipServ expands in response to customer demand

ImageIn response to the ever increasing community of ship owners, ship managers, shipyards, suppliers and logistics companies using ShipServ’s products and services, the company has embarked on a growth programme to scale with this unprecedented demand.

With a particular focus on expanding development, support and implementation services, the company has grown from 46 to 100 people in just six months.

Key appointments include: In Product Management, Stuart May joins from Ulysses Systems with responsibility for Pages and Peter Spicer has joined from GF-X to lead the development plans for TradeNet. Both report to Neil Firth, Chief Technology Officer.

In Sales, Simon Osborne has joined from ISMA to head up the Pages business, and joins the newly formed sales management team of himself, Steve Cobley (recently joined from Click Commerce) and Lars Bratshuag (a Summer joiner from Capto). All report to Freddy Ingemann, SVP of Sales.

Finally John Watton joins ShipServ from Amdocs as Vice President of Marketing, reporting to Paul Ostergaard, CEO.

Additionally, the company has outgrown some of its existing premises, leading to a move to newer, larger offices in London in October and the same scheduled for the Manila office later this month.

All this on top of a year where TradeNet trading volumes have grown to nearly $750m per annum, supported by 100 buyers, including ship owners/managers and ship yards, and 5,000 suppliers.
