Winners of the TradeNet Awards 2007

Congratulations to Vroon B.V. and Ashland Drew Marine for winning the TradeNet Awards 2007

At the TradeNet Conference Dinner on Tuesday evening, the annual TradeNet Awards were presented to the Ship Owner/Manager and Supplier of the Year.

The winner of the TradeNet Award 2007 for Suppliers was Ashland Drew Marine for their focus on improving data quality and their progressive attitude to creating customer specific data with the purpose of reducing the length of the order process.

Vroon B.V. won the TradeNet Award 2007 for Ship Owners / Managers for their willingness to work collaboratively with the suppliers in finding the best data solution. The high data quality from group companies makes Vroon a preferred customer for suppliers to work with.

Nominations were submitted by TradeNet Members and a judging panel representing the industry selected the winners from a list of three nominees in each category. The judges were Helge Hermundsgaard, DNV Maritime Solutions; Pal. C. Marthinsen, CapGemini Norge AS; Rob O’Dwyer, The Digital Ship; Neville Smith, Lloyd’s List; and Paul Ostergaard, ShipServ.

All in all, the conference programme provided an exciting event and we look forward to seeing all TradeNet Members at next year’s event. Dates will be announced soon.
