Universal Marine Medical Supply Co. Signs New Software Package With ShipServ

Ships all over the world will now be able to requisition medical supplies required for the medical locker from New York based Universal Marine Medical Supply Co. by utilizing ShipServ’s electronic catalogue management software, ShipCat®.

The complete medical supply lists for WHO, Gulf of Mexico Rig List, Avian Flu Kit, and much more appear in an easy to use interactive catalogue. Where certain quantities of specific items are recommended or required by regulation, these quantities appear with each item. The catalogue is easy to search, and ShipServ’s ShipLink® requisitioning tool makes selecting desired items as easy as point and click.

“ShipServ has helped our industry by providing requisitioning tools that simplify the logistics behind the scenes. The orders and quotes now look as if they were placed by doctors from shore side hospitals. ShipServ has enabled requisitions to be filled without backorders and virtually zero returned goods,” explained George Lovecchio, Regional Sales Manager, Universal Marine Medical Supply Co.

“ShipServ is pleased to help Universal extend its e-business capabilities,” said Donald Staffin, ShipServ Senior VP. “The use of electronic catalogues in an industry standard form will be of great help to personnel both on board ships as well as in ship management offices.”
