Norway and North America power ShipServ TradeNet to new highs

Image2006 was another record-breaking year for ShipServ with transactions growing on TradeNet with 58% to 1.2 million.

One of the main growth drivers was the number of Norwegian and North American shipping companies joining the e-marketplace. In all, the number of shipping companies connected to the world’s leading platform for ship supplies trading, ShipServ TradeNet, grew 46% from 50 to 73.

Companies joining the e-marketplace included BW Gas, Barber Shipmanagement, Helix Energy Solutions Group, and Teekay Shipping.

The transaction growth on TradeNet continues in the beginning of 2007 with a 40% increase from December to January. ShipServ CEO, Paul Ostergaard, looking forward, predicts: “In 2007, ShipServ’s 5,000+ suppliers are likely to sell as much as USD750 million dollars worth of goods. This will be equivalent to 2 million transactions flowing through the platform in just one year.”

How to make sure purchasers find your company

ImageShipServ Pages enable maritime purchasing professionals to search among 7,000+ suppliers using criteria such as ports, brands, and supply categories.

As a supplier, you will be most easily found if you are listed in the very top of the search results.

There are several ways to get there. The easiest is to buy a Premium Listing which will take you to the top of search results. However, adding a company name to a directory like ShipServ Pages is not enough – you also need to specify detailed information about brands, product categories, and ports served.

Besides including detailed company contact information, a Premium Listing also offers the opportunity to upload documents to the company profile, i.e. catalogues and price lists which can help further explain the products and services provided.

Thank you for your continued support.
