ShipServ TradeNet hot in Americas

ImageLeading the prestigious roster of new clients in the Americas is Teekay Shipping Ltd, of Vancouver, Canada, which has committed its global fleet of over 100 tankers. Other recent additions include offshore specialist Helix Energy Services, LMS Shipmanagement, Liberty Maritime, and Buenos Aires-based EstreMar.

LMS Shipmanagement has now been trading on ShipServ’s e-marketplace for a few months and the effects are already showing. Ed A. Seoane, Director of Procurement, LMS Shipmanagement, explains: “The efficiency increase is equivalent to removing the work load of one full time purchaser. It is now company policy for all new spare parts vendors to quote via ShipServ or else we will not use them.”

How to make sure purchasers find your company

ImageShipServ Pages enable maritime purchasing professionals to search among 7,000+ suppliers using criteria such as ports, brands, and supply categories.

As a supplier, you will be most easily found if you are listed in the very top of the search results.

There are several ways to get there. The easiest is to buy a Premium Listing which will take you to the top of search results. However, adding a company name to a directory like ShipServ Pages is not enough – you also need to specify detailed information about brands, product categories, and ports served.

Besides including detailed company contact information, a Premium Listing also offers the opportunity to upload documents to the company profile, i.e. catalogues and price lists which can help further explain the products and services provided.

Kim has been with the company from the very beginning and his lifetime of shipping experience is of great value in establishing a new way of trading in our long-established indutry. He has recently transferred back to our Copenhagen office.
