ShipServ TradeNet Awards 2006
Congratulations to Hoegh Fleet Services and Wartsila for winning the TradeNet Awards 2006.
The TradeNet Supplier of the Year Award was given to the supplier that has used technology to optimize collaboration with customers for the purpose of creating mutual benefits whereas the TradeNet Ship Owner / Manager of the Year Award was given to the owner / manager that has been most progressive in using technology to improve the way it interacts with suppliers.
Nominations were entered by TradeNet Members and a judging panel representing the industry selected the winners from three nominees in each category. The judges were Helge Hermundsgaard, DNV Maritime; Anders Lier, CapGemini; Karl Jeffery, Digital Ship; Neville Smith, Lloyd’s List; and Paul Ostergaard, ShipServ.
The nominees for the TradeNet Ship Owner / Manager of the Year were:
* Hoegh Fleet Services - for seeing the benefits of trading electronically and possessing a willingness to changes that have to be made in order for this to work for both parties of the supply chain.
* Anglo Eastern Shipmanagement - for seeing the benefits of trading electronically and for being aware of the importance of sending correct data through TradeNet from the beginning.
* J. Lauritzen - for seeing the benefits of trading electronically and increasing their volume of electronic trading steadily.
The nominees for the TradeNet Supplier of the Year were:
* Apotheek Lagaay International - for their focus on improving data quality. With their part numbers in the order systems products will be correctly specified from the beginning of the order process.
* Wartsila - for their focus on improving data quality and being progressive towards applying new services to their customers through the use of e-business.
* Klevenberg Shipping Center - for their focus on reducing the length of the ordering process by replying quickly to quotes and having prices included in ship owners’ purchasing systems.
