ShipServ continues to experience a high rate of growth and we look forward to 2006 as yet another record breaking year. 1,500,000 transactions at a value of approximately USD 0.75 billion are expected on ShipServ’s e-commerce platform.

ShipServ continues to focus on optimizing supply chain COLLABORATION and bringing ship owners / managers and suppliers closer together. This focus area is also the theme for the TradeNet Conference 2006, taking place 10-11 May in Copenhagen.

Worldwide acceptance of ShipServ TradeNet results in record transaction growth in 2005

During 2005 the number of transactions conducted on ShipServ TradeNet increased by 266%. This was a threshold year for the company.

After reaching the 1 million transaction mark in July 2005, a milestone which required five years to attain, the 2nd million is on schedule to be completed within 12 months, by mid 2006.

A million transactions represent an enormous saving in resources, both physical (paper) and in manpower, not to mention associated costs. It is equivalent to a pile of paper the height of the Eiffel Tower. Laid end-to-end the paper would stretch from the Eiffel Tower to St Peter s in Rome (1100 km).

Fueling this dramatic transaction growth was an increase in the number of shipping company customers from 31 to 50 during the course of the year. These 50 companies collectively represent a fleet of over 1,500 ships.

In the fourth quarter alone, 9 shipping companies joined ShipServ TradeNet: AJ Ship Management GmbH (Germany), Meiji Shipping Co. Ltd. (Japan), Neom Maritime Pte Ltd. (Singapore), Norbulk Shipping (UK), Samsun Logix Corp. (Korea), Sandigan Ship Services Inc. (Philippines), Solvang ASA (Norway), Star Reefers (UK) and B+H Equimar Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). In addition OSG added a significant number of ships following its acquisition of Stelmar.

TradeNet Conference 2006

The ShipServ TradeNet Conference 2006 will take place Wednesday-Thursday, 10-11 May in Copenhagen at Hotel Skt. Petri. TradeNet Members are invited to attend.

This year’s TradeNet Conference will focus on Ship Supply Chain COLLABORATION – getting trading partners closer together. It is about strengthening relationships while improving competitiveness and market reach within the marine supply community.

Staff news

ShipServ welcomes Ane Sivertsen, Elin Bae and Irene Almvallen.

Ane Sivertsen has been hired as Sales Manager. She has a broad experience in the maritime industry through different roles and responsibilities. She joins ShipServ from Ship Yard Exchange (SYX) where she was Key Account Manager.

Elin Bae joins as Client Relations Manager with base in Copenhagen. She has the past five years worked for different software companies, and, and since the summer 2004 for (Ship Yard Exchange).

Irene Almvallen is a recent graduate of Stockholm University with a Master’s Degree in Computers and Systems Sciences as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She will be actively involved in the IT support front line, looking after our Customer Service teams around the world.

ShipServ is continuing its expansion as the leading maritime e-commerce platform and is looking for new Sales Managers to join its energetic team.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

* Identify, manage and close new sales opportunities
* Contribute to the strong growth of the company by meeting aggressive sales targets
* Build and maintain a network of business relationships
